IQVIA’s successful and rapidly growing Medical and Patient Communications team is looking for an experienced Director level Account Lead to lead an interesting portfolio of existing accounts, to contribute to our growth through business development success and to work across the IQVIA Enterprise to identify and develop new communications solutions.


Reporting to the Head of Communications, the successful applicant will have proven experience as a subject matter expert in Medical Communications – particularly Medical Affairs and Medical Education – and patient focussed communications, along with a strong heritage of leading teams within an agency environment.

You will be responsible for the growth and management of a range of customer accounts within allocated service area(s), leading the team to achieve strong customer relationships, strategic programs and high quality delivery.

• Relevant bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry or agency

environment with 6 year’s management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Excellent understanding of biopharmaceutical lifecycle strategy as it pertains to allocated Practice Area (s), and Practice

• Excellent computer literacy, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively through others in a global environment to deliver results

• Effective leadership skills in a matrix environment with proven people management skills

• Good strategic thinking ability and ability to apply organizationally

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong Negotiation skills

• Demonstrated track record of good judgment and decision making skills

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
