We are seeking an Associate Scientist, Sample Preparation to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Ithaca, NY.

Join our innovative team as an Associate Scientist in Sample Prep! You’ll be at the forefront of clinical trials research, driving data analysis and laboratory testing procedures that are pivotal for drug development. Your precision and attention to detail will directly contribute to the advancement of our research projects.

What Will You Be Doing:

  • Conducting and documenting analytical procedures aligning with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

  • Performing routine data analysis ensuring accuracy and adherence to expected tolerances.

  • Identifying performance errors or unusual results, escalating them to senior lab personnel.

  • Preparing data analysis results for upload to LIMS system under senior staff guidance.

  • Assisting in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution processes.

  • Reviewing and updating laboratory procedures ensuring optimal efficiency.

  • Participating in continuing education through self-study, attending training sessions, lectures, and meetings.

  • Collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders ensuring clear communication.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Medical Laboratory Technology is required; CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a degree in a related field.

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment or other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is essential.

  • Knowledge of assigned technical area, systems, and procedures obtained through prior work experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed for this Role:

  • Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques is crucial for success in this role.

  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel is essential as these tools are integral to daily operations.

  • Strong attention to detail ensures that all tasks are performed with accuracy. – The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously will be key to managing the dynamic nature of this role. – Effective collaboration skills are necessary for working cohesively with internal stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
